Georgia Hunter Education Association Field Day

Our first field day was a great success! Thanks to all of the volunteers that helped put it together, including the local Perry area DNR Rangers that attended, our GHEA staff, and of course all those affiliated with Closeaway Plantation.
The kids were treated to a variety of different shooting disciplines that included: shotgun/clay birds, .22 rifle shoot, laser Shot, archery and also treestand safety. Special thanks to Chef Wayne who treated us to lunch with his special touch on the grill!
With the first event under our belts, we hope to provide more similar events in locations throughout the state in the future. Watch this site for more info.
